Cyclic Variation of Free Aminoacids of Human. Endometrium in Relation to Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding

چکیده
The endometrium is one of the most dynamic structures in the human body characterised hy a complete life cycle within a short span of time. Although there can be no doubt about the role of estrogen in promoting endometrial growth and progesterone in influencing the differentiation, yet little is known of the mechanisms by which such changes are accomplished. Behind the constantly changing structure of the normal endometrium lies fundamental biochemical changes in the endometrium which can be expected to lead to a better understand~ ing of its functional and structural changes. Radioactive glycine and other aminoacids (Mureller et al, 1953) are very quickly incorporated into the uterine tissue under the influence of estradiol (Mureller, 1953, 1957, Mureller et al, 1961). Estrogen thus seems to stimulate protein anabolism an the human endometrium, the same situation exists as in

Clinco-Pathological Patterns in Women with Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding
Background: The term dysfunctional uterine bleeding(DUB) refers to any abnormal bleeding from the uterus, unassociated with tumour, inflammation and pregnancy. The histological diagnosis of DUB is very essential for adequate management especially in perimenopausal and postmenopausal females. The present study was undertaken with the aim of evaluating DUB in various age groups, carry out histopa...
متن کاملMast Cells in Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Abnormal uterine bleeding is one of the commonest disorder in the female, which needs thorough investigation to ascertain the exact aetiological basis so that a proper treatment can be rendered to such cases. Rumbolz and Greene (1957) studied mast cells in the endometrium in different physiological and pathological conditions and observed definite increase of mast cells in the secretory phase, ...
متن کاملOnm-1: Imaging in Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Abnormal uterine bleeding is any bleeding from the uterus other than normal monthly period. Having extremely heavy bleeding during period can also be considered abnormal uterine bleeding. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) is heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding that is not caused by an underlying anatomical abnormality, such as a fibroid, lesion, or tumor. DUB is the most common type of abn...
متن کاملEndometrial lysosomal enzyme activity in ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, IUCD users and post-partum women.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of lysosomal enzymes in excessively heavy menstruation by comparing women with menorrhagia due to dysfunctional bleeding or intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) use with those with normal menstrual periods or with amenorrhoea associated with breastfeeding. This was a prospective cohort investigation of the activity of four endometrial lysosomal...
متن کاملDual role of angiotensin II in the human endometrium.
Angiotensin II (ANG) promotes cell proliferation and angiogenesis as well as being a potent vasoconstrictor. The cellular distribution of renin, ANG and its receptors in the endometrium has yielded useful information about the possible role of the renin-angiotensin system in cyclic menstruation. In the early proliferative phase, intense ANG-like immunostaining was detected in stroma and glandul...
